Brilliant trailerable 31 foor trimaran, one of Ian Farrier's best designs; fast, stable, safe. Easily sailed singlehanded (I mostly do) or can easily accommodate 8 on a day sail or four for overnight trips, though two is ideal for extended cruising. Fantastic family boat. Great on all points of sail and blasting upwind at 14 knots is common in any sort of breeze, which this boat loves. Brilliant coastal cruiser, especially for Tassie where the sailing is fantastic in the best waterways this side of the black rock.
Apart from being fast, it has all the attributes of multihulls, shallow draft (400 mm - 1.5m with the daggerboard down), light weight, and stable, you can drink a cup of tea without worrying about it tipping over while you are sailing. No need for a liferaft either, this boat is unsinkable.
This 31 foot boat is trailerable and the registered trailer has electric brakes on both axles. Trailer has just been recondiditoned with new beams, hydraulics and wiring.
Amas (side floats) fold in in minutes reducing the beam from 23' to 8'. Good to get the boat on a trailer or into a marina. Mast is easily lowered or raised to enable boat to be legally trailered (1750 kg all up).

Well maintained, western red cedar and vinylester construction, boat is sound. Mast and rig serviced 2010. Mylar main, genoa, jib and storm jib, nylon asymmetrical spinnaker. All sails in good condition. All halyards and sheets in excellent condition.
Reluctant sale but have to move on. Timeshare option is possible (currently owned by a long term and successful partnership of two). It means you get to have access to a great boat for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and who uses a boat for more than a few weeks a year? Maintenance costs and times are also reduced. Costs will be around $20,000 each for 6 partners and $4000 pa, less with 8 or 10 partners. Boat would be entirely renovated with this option: new sails, motor paint, instruments. None of these upgrades are essential as boat is safe and seaworthy, but would make for a very fine boat. This option would also have the boat housed in a marina for quick and ready access and would be guaranteed to be clean and seaworthy.
